Registration Info

Class Schedule

The next 8-Week MBSR class starts Wednesday, June 9, 2010.

  • We will meet weekly on Wednesdays from 6:00-7:30 p.m.
  • The class will meet in a professional building located at:

 4545 Park Blvd., Suite 105, San Diego, CA  92116    (2 blocks south of Adams Ave.)

Parking:  Please park on the street.  Do not block the neighbors’ driveways.

How do I register?

  • It is important to make sure that MBSR practice is a good fit for you.  Please call Kim at 619-379-7450 to schedule a free, pre-class assessment.  Also, please review the Guidelines for MBSR Practice and Class Expectations (below) before registering.

What Happens in the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Class?

  • Guided instruction in mindfulness meditation practices
  • Group dialogue
  • Daily assignments for home practice
  • A free copy of the Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Workbook by Bob Stahl and Elisha Goldstein
  • CD of guided mindfulness practices

MBSR will be taught in a safe and supportive environment by an experienced and licensed clinician, Kim Roser, LCSW.  Class size will be limited to 8 participants.

 

 

Guidelines for MBSR Practice and Class Expectations

1.  Make a commitment to yourself and learning Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.  Without a commitment to your MBSR practice, your ability to benefit will be limited.  Daily practice is important, so you may have to arrange your schedule in order  have time to practice MBSR.

2.  Make a commitment to incorporating mindfulness practice to your daily living.  Becoming mindful of eating, walking, and how you communicate with others will enhance your formal mindfulness practice.

3.  Set aside to achieve a particular goal in MBSR (e.g. become relaxed, reduce pain, etc).

4.  Be kind to yourself and others as your develop your mindfulness skills

Class Attendance and Planning

  • MBSR classes will take place over 8 consecutive weeks.  To obtain the full benefit of MBSR, it is best to make time to commit to the full 8 week course.  If you need to miss a session, please notify us in advance.

 

Fees

  • The MBSR course fee is $375 and includes a workbook and CD to assist your home MBSR practice.
